Good day,

My name is Irish and I’m fundraising on behalf of my friend Kierra. This past month has forever changed her life. Her dog, Dee Dee, she’s had since a puppy fell ill and had to be rushed in for surgery due to an ovarian issue. Her pup made it out of surgery but shortly after passed. To some a dog is a dog, but for the people that have had the blessing of a true connection with their animal knows the grief of losing their animal companion is tremendous. Dee Dee held a very special place in her owners heart and all her friends as well. She was more than just a dog, so much more. As you would fight for a family member, Kiki fought. She gave all she had to help Dee Dee emotionally and physically. The pain of the emptiness where joy, puppy kisses, and playtime once lived is hard enough to face, now catching up with the vet bills on top of life bills, is a whole other stress. One I am hoping as a community we can help relieve. Kiki is an amazing person and I really believe we all need a hand sometimes. When I was struggling Kiki helped me before we were even friends and she didn’t even remember! That’s the kind of heart she has and it’s now breaking with all this grief. It’s a lot to process and I really don’t want her worrying about bills or how she’s going to afford her next meal while her world just crumbled.

We all know times can be hard and a lot of us really are one emergency or tragic accident away from being homeless, bank accounts at 0. Thankfully, the vet Kiki chose was able to help with some of the expenses but it still left my friend in a really tight spot. To receive her ashes alone is about a $500 bill. Being in the service industry in St. Thomas, a tourist destination, during slow season is financial hard enough.

Her friends have came through as much as we can but we can only do so much at the moment. We are asking if you could please donate to help Kiki catch up on her own bills, as she did what any loving pet owner would do and spent every last dime on her dogs survival. My hope for this fundraiser is to get my friend caught up financially, help her afford her sweet angel baby’s ashes, and hopefully if we raise enough we can donate back to the vet clinic that helped with every resource they had.
